The Need:

Millions of seniors face the daily threat of having an accidents and experiencing a medical emergency that could land them in a nursing home. A timely response to falls and other emergencies can prevent lasting injuries and preserve an elderly or disabled person's self-reliance.

Tele Care is a not-for-profit organization that provides free telephone reassurance and medical reminder services to elderly and disabled people in the United States, helping them live independently, by daily monitoring their well-being, as well as decreasing loneliness and social isolation thus, enhancing the quality of their lives.

Tele Care's Services:

Tele Care volunteers call to our senior citizen clients and clients with disabilities 365 days a year, helping make their daily life easier.

Tele Care's Medical Reminder service helps clients remember to take their prescription medications, check their blood pressure, or to check their blood sugar level.

Tele Care volunteers are loving, and caring, people (many senior citizens themselves) who are dedicate to working 5 to 40 hours per week, helping serve elderly and disabled people who depend on their daily call, make our client's lives easier. Tele Care volunteers are compassionate, and attentive, to all of our client's individual needs. Tele Care volunteers each complete an extensive training course that prepares them for what to expect, as well as, proper way to handle situations.

Tele Care volunteers help serve elderly and disabled people who are home-bound, socially isolated, and in dire need of human companionship.
